Well, this had been awkward and interesting at the same time to meet James Diamond again. She wasn’t sure about what kind of feelings she was having for him at the moment. Part of her was happy to be able to talk to him again but she was still upset for the way he had just…ignored her back then in her childhood. She blushed with anger at the thought and sighed; now she had to star with him in a musical! How ironic was that? Sure, he was the perfect Link because there were seriously no one in this school who would pull it off better than him but it still irritated her. He was the one she was going to have to kiss? Seriously?
She was a bit mad that Shara kept such a major secret while she knew what he had done to her. He probably didn’t miss her or anything. She had been stupid to think he ever had human-like feelings. He always seemed to be self-centered now that she thought about it even though back then when she spoke to him, she swore she had seen a brief instant of grief. But she was probably seeing things. She had once been the fatty girl with braces and he probably still saw her as it.
She walked fast and straight towards the dormitories when the first rehearsal was done. She wasn’t in the mood to speak to anyone right now. She pulled out her script and slowly began to try to memorize her lines. Best was she to start now considering that she needed to do a lot of work to pretend that she was all over Link (James).

It had been a really fun rehearsal! Shara was excited about how it was going and she couldn't wait until everyone memorized their lines so that they could really start rehearsing. This rehearsal was mainly just for meeting castmates, getting scripts, and doing a few run-throughs just to see how everything fit together. But once everything got moving, things would be even more fun! Shara couldn't wait.
She noticed that as soon as the rehearsal was over, Sophia hurried out. Perhaps she was just as excited and wanted to start working on her script as soon as possible! Shara didn't blame her there, not one bit. She saw everyone out of the rehearsal, answering any questions they had along with the director, and then finally, once everyone else had left, she decided to head back to her dormitory as well, hoping that her suspicions were correct and Sophia was there as well.
Finally she reached her dorm room and quickly opened the door and entered. Not noticing the obvious state of mind that Sophia was in due to her own excitement, Shara merely said loudly, "Well that was fun!" and closed the door behind her.

Sophia was still trying not to consume her anger too much. Her friend probably meant the best; she always did and she was sure she was trying to cheer her up knowing that her character was going to have to kiss someone like James. She felt bad at the same time for an instant before getting mad again. She still hadn’t told her that the guy was going to be James! She was her best friend and yet she forgot to tell her a major aspect of the musical.
She couldn’t back down though and she wouldn’t. She knew that she had to somewhat compose with Diamond and besides…she did give him her phone number. Made her wonder why she did that to begin with. Maybe it was because she was secretly hoping that he still wanted to be friends with her, like before. “Por qué yo?” She asked to herself in her native language more in a mumble.
Her frown was even more apparent when she heard Shara walking in. Or more when she seemed to be enthusiastic about how ‘fun’ it had been. She didn’t deny the fact though; it had indeed been fun but she was still mad at how awkward it had turned out. “Shara….” She began unable to hide her slightly irritated voice tone. “Can you come here please?” She raised herself from where she was sitting trying to contain herself so she wouldn’t make a mistake by yelling at her friend.

After slipping off a pair of shoes and tucking a stray piece of blonde hair behind her ear, Shara finally realized that something was... well, different about Sophia. She didn't seem as excited as Shara, and she certainly didn't seem happy. Though she didn't seem nervous, either... Shara was about to ask her what the matter was, but it seemed she didn't have to because al of a sudden, a very irritated-sounding Sophia spoke up.
Shara felt very nervous. She didn't like the tone Sophia was using- it made her feel as if she'd done something wrong. She swallowed hard before approaching her friend who was now rising from where she'd been sitting. "Um... what's the matter, Soph?" she asked hesitantly. Oh gosh.. what was the matter? Had she done something wrong? What could it have been? She hadn't done anything on purpose, of course... but it was always possible that she did something to upset Sophia by accident.
Oh... this was an awful feeling. Shara got more and more uncomfortable standing in front of her friend the longer she waited for a response. She hated it when people were upset, and it was very clear that something was bothering Sophia. She just wanted to know what it was so she could fix it!

Sophia tried her best, her really best not to be upset at Shara but she couldn’t help it. The girl had pushed her luck a little bit too far for them and even if she knew that she meant no harm; she had to know that she should have told her about James. “You didn’t tell me that James was the one who was going to be my Link…” she began in a cool way. But soon she frowned. “You should have told me!” she sighed and looked away. “It was soo awkward to meet him again, you have no ideas.”
She paused thinking that the girl might have forgotten about what happened between them. “You know, he ignored in the past because of …well, how I looked like.” She added and looked at the wall before her absent-mindly. She frowned and began playing with a lock of her hair at the thought. “I can tell he was surprised too but I can’t believe I’m going to lose my first kiss to him…no matter how much of a stud he’s looking like now.” She felt her cheeks heating up from both embarrassment and anger.
She dared to look at her friend once her blush vanished. “Now I feel like being the fat girl I used to be again and it’s really awkward.”

Shara was horribly confused. Of course she didn't tell her who Link was, it was supposed to be a surprise after all! Why all of a sudden was Sophia so upset? Was she disappointed in who was playing him? If anything, Shara thought she'd be excited- he was pretty good looking, so it wasn't like she was going to kiss a troll or anything. But all too quickly, when Sophia went on to talk about why exactly she was upset, Shara realized she'd made a mistake. A small gasp of horror escaped her as Sophia explained, and she suddenly looked very sad and upset with herself.
"Oh, I'm so... I'm so sorry, I was stupid! I didn't realize... I didn't know it was the same person, I don't know why I couldn't figure that out but I didn't remember that it was, well... him. I dunno, he's just so nice, and he's one of my closest friends other than you! I guess I didn't realize... I'm sorry!" she ended up rambling quite a bit without meaning to due to being upset. Tears welled in her eyes but didn't fall.
"I... I know you're upset about the past and I can understand why you don't want to kiss him or anything. You still have time to not do the play if you don't want, we can find you a replacement... but it won't be the same without you." Shara added determinedly. "And he's different now! You've gotta trust me... I bet he'd feel really bad if he knew how you felt! Honest!" she really didn't know what to say, but she kept talking anyway, having nothing else to do in the situation but that.

Sophia looked at her friend, starting to feel bad for her to ever want to throw a fit at the girl. She couldn’t know, but her best friend was ought to remember such a major event in her life right? She frowned at the thought. Maybe she should stop having such high expectations for people. Shara has always been good to her despite today and she knew that she would still talk to her after that but that didn’t stop her from being a little mad about it at the moment.
James? Nice? Well, she could confirm he was nice when he was talking to her back then, until he decided to ignore her for whatever reason but deep down, she knew that it was because of how she looked like. She had been teased a lot for her appearance and the thought made her sadder. Couldn’t people just look past that anymore? How could she be close friends with Diamond? “I know you didn’t mean to hurt me Shara but how can you be friends with him? He couldn’t even look at me straight in the fast the whole time we spoke.” well, most of the time that is.
She froze however when Shara said that she could back down on a role. She wasn’t like that; she never gave up that easily. She was a fighter and she would get through this even though she wasn’t pleased with it. She shook her head. “I’m not going to back down on it.” She gave her friend a small smile.
She did have to admit that he was a bit different from when she was having fun with him in the backyards pretending to be famous but still. “yeah, well see about that.” She added, looking away.

Shara felt absolutely terrible, mostly because she felt as though something that important should have been first on her mind. She felt as though she'd forgotten something she really shouldn't have, but on the other hand, it wasn't her experience, so of course she wouldn't think of it exactly the same was as Sophia would, or even remember it as well for that matter. No, she knew James as he was now, and liked him for who he was now. As an overly trustful and accepting person, Shara was quick to look past any old problems or misdemeanors and forgive people. Sometimes, apparently, it was a bad thing.
Sophia looked so upset and disappointed, it only served to make Shara feel worse than she already did. She could barely look at Sophia in the eye, not knowing what to say to make her feel better. "He was probably just upset! You know, because he didn't know he'd see you again and he probably remembered and felt guilty!"
The good thing was, Sophia wasn't planning on backing out of being in the play because of James, which was a plus. She'd be perfect for her role and Shara would hate to see Sophia back down from something she really wanted to do just because of another person who wasn't even a bad person. Shara just had to try and help Sophia to understand that.
She seemed very stubborn about it and while Shara could kind of understand why, it still saddened her to see the stubbornness. "He is! You need to give him a chance. He hurt you in the past, I know, but... you should try to see it from his point of view. Maybe there was a reason for it. It was a long time ago, and you're so bitter...." Shara had a feeling that she was only making things worse. She wasn't trying to minimize Sophia's feelings or anything, but perhaps it seemed that way... she certainly hoped not. Oh, this was awful....

No matter how hard she wanted to believe her friend Shara, Sophia scowled. She wished he was feeling guilty about it or at least, would have liked to apologize but he did nothing of that and they just had an awkward conversation. The best she could wish for was that he indeed, didn’t kiss like a toad because she didn’t want her first kiss to be ruined like that. She was pretty aware of it to happen but she didn’t expect that she’d have to do that with an old childhood memory.
However, that didn’t mean she was going to back on her role; if there was one thing she had learnt the past years it was to fight for what you believed was right and for your dreams. She was going to still stay in the game to get through her role. She wasn’t going to let Diamond ruin it again even though it would have been fun to be famous with him, at least, that’s what she thought when she was back in childhood, now she didn’t think it’d be so great.
To give him a chance? Did he even give her a chance back then? Not at all, and he didn’t even explain himself as to why he had ditched her. Made her wonder about how she was supposed to give him a chance there. “Yeah, well, I don’t see why I should be giving a chance to someone who didn’t give me one back then.” She replied coldly even though it was against her wills to respond like this to her friend.

All of a sudden everything seemed like it had blown up, and not in a good way. The last Shara had known, everything had been going well- she and Sophia were going to be in a play together, Sophia had gotten her dream role, and Shara had been excited for her because she'd gotten an awesome Link. But everything backfired! Nothing turned out like Shara thought it would, and she only hoped it could get resolved before things got even worse. How could this happen? She was thoroughly miserable now, even though a few moments earlier she'd been excited and happy.
Sophia was her best friend after all. She hated to see her unhappy, which was exactly what she was now- that and confused, and annoyed no doubt as well. Shara frowned, beginning to slowly pace the room as she tried to find some kind of a solution. She had to find a way for Sophia to get used to James and the idea that he wasn't a bad person. Because he wasn't! Shara was determined with that. She knew he wasn't... now Sophia had to know it too, deep down.
But Sophia seemed so cold. Shara felt as though she could cry. "Maybe he wanted to. You never know... you don't know that he wasn't going through something awful at that time, maybe he wasn't able to. Or maybe he wasn't but he understands now that he should have, and... everyone deserves a second chance, So!" she protested. "Even James!"

Sophia was aware that her friend only meant good but she still couldn’t help it; she always had had a somewhat short temper when it came to things like this. It was hard for her to let it pass when it was something that was important to her. This had been, she would have wanted to be James’ friend still but things changed and she doubted that she would want that again. Besides, their first…re-meeting was so weird and awkward they just couldn’t be as friendly towards each other as they used to be before. Just to think that she would have to kiss him eventually was…enough.
She looked at her friend only to see that her eyes were watering up which made Sophia sigh. She didn’t want to get her friend to cry but she couldn’t help it. She wasn’t as mad as she was at first though, but she still was. Him? Wanting to apologize to her? They were alone and she doubted he would have mustered the courage to do it if they were alone any longer.
“Something awful…right.” She said skeptically. She knew just how many friends he had always had. He never changed one bit; he only became more of a man but stayed with that same personality of his that could be as charming and annoying as before. Second chances? She did believe in them…but she wasn’t sure about if she was willing to give one to James though, she figured it was best for her to try, for Shara’s sake. “Fine, I’ll try.” She said reluctantly. She didn’t feel like seeing her friend crying in front of her anyways.

It was rare to see Sophia this angry and upset about something. Usually she was so kindhearted and forgiving... whatever happened between her and James in the past must really have hurt her. Shara knew the story, of course, but she hadn't been there for the actual encounter, so it was hard for her to understand. She just wished that Sophia would be a bit more open minded about the whole thing. Sure, she didn't understand So's feelings and what had happened and all that, but it couldn't be that hard for someone as nice as So, could it?
She sounded so skeptical when she responded to Shara. "You know what they say... 'you never know what happens behind closed doors', isn't that it?" Shara reasoned, hoping that Sophia would start to come around. She seemed so irritated and angry, and Shara certainly didn't want her to feel that way the whole time they were doing the musical. This was supposed to be a fun experience, after all!
"Please try. I'll come with you if you want, when you guys talk or something... for emotional support, if you need it."

It was rare but it happened, Shara was being the wise one while Sophia was being the one who let her emotions get to her. She knew pretty well that a lot of girls would kill to be at her place, to be able to kiss Diamond but the simple thought itself made her want to throw up, for now that is. She was still too angry to be willing to do anything with him. She thought that he was nice back then, until he stabbed her in the back. Not literally of course, she knew that he would never go that far but still, that’s how she felt before and to see him again brought back the old scar.
She sighed once again trying not to say anything that would hurt Shara’s feelings either but it was hard. It was something that she would have to overcome on her own. She gave a small smile at her friend before looking away once again. She needed time to digest it all. She would be less angry at Shara after that, that’s for sure.
“I am going to try Shara, but I can’t promise anything.” She said. She shook her head when she proposed to be emotional support. “This is something I’ll have to deal on my own with, even if I don’t like it.” She admitted. “But, I’ll still consider your offer.” It was the best she could do without upsetting her friend for being upset.

Shara was glad that Sophia was coming around to the idea of forgiveness, but she still felt bad that she had to go through all this emotional turmoil. It was too bad, but she was sure that Sophia would get through it just fine! She was always a very smart girl, and Shara didn't worry too much about her on most occasions.
She said she was going to try, and that was good enough for now. "I'm glad you'll try. It's not healthy to carry that around for so long, y'know... like a grudge, and stuff." said Shara. At least So was going to try. That was a start, if anything, and if she was consciously giving effort, it was sure to rub off! Perhaps Sophia and James would end up as friends- that would be wonderful, and especially for Shara, who was friends with both of them and was having a hard time now trying to keep her friends separate for fear of hate or discontent between them.
It seemed that So just needed a bit of time to think. Now that she'd calmed down a bit, Shara thought it would be best to give her just that. "I'll leave you be for a bit then, I guess. Don't beat yourself up over it, okay So? Everything will be fine." then, Shara left the room, not having anywhere to go in particular, but wanting to give So some space for a little while.
ooc: thought this was a good place to end it XD

Sophia gave a small smile to her friend. She was still annoyed by the situation but she knew that she had to get over it somehow. She had to perform with James and even if it was going to be her first kiss, she had to do it. It was on stage stuff right? And like Shara said, it didn’t really count but then again, she really wanted to give her first kiss to someone she actually cared about and not to someone who had broken her heart back then. It wasn’t healthy to keep a grudge for this long, Shara even pointed it out but she couldn’t help it; she had really cared about James and to see him again…it opened an old scar as well as something else she couldn’t put her finger on. Was it annoyance? She didn’t know.
She’d have to think about it all anyways especially knowing that she’d have to deal through it all. She was thankful however when Shara said that she would go for a while. “Thank you Shara.” She responded. She paused thinking that she might as well be grateful for her friend who was always there to support her since the beginning. It was unfair for her to be mad at one of her best friends, especially when the girl wanted to be nice.
“Hey Shara…” she began before her friend left. “You’re the best friend I’ve ever had.” She said with a calmer voice. A good evening of thinking would do her good, that’s for sure. As well as a good evening of getting over kissing James would.
