Walking into the place he spent all of his childhood and a very good portion of his preadolescent years, James Diamond dropped of his bags at the doorway, merely closed it behind him and walked over to the nearest couch available. The boy was tired. He had to work a late shift at the cafe as somebody had called in, leaving him the only person working that night. He had managed to get out around 1 and then had an early class, then after class he gathered up all of his junk and decided to drive back home to borrow the washing machine ad have a nice meal from home. This left James with only a few hours of sleep.
Laying on the couch with his face buried in it, James could have cred less about his hair. He wasn't going anywhere public so nobody could tease him about it. Normally the couch felt like a regular old couch to him, but this time it felt extra soft. Like a welcoming bed almost. Turning so his cheek was now resting on the cushion, James sighed. He had no idea if anybody else was home really. "I'm home" he called out.

Audrey had been on her feet half the morning, working at the salon and attempting to get her laundry done at a local laundry mat near her apartment; attempting being to the key word. After having lost three dollars in change to busted and rackity old machines, she grabbed her clothes and decided to head to her childhood home. She was just flat out too tired to be standing there for thirty more minutes to wait for a machine, when she simply could go home and do her laundry for free and be allowed to take off her shoes and chill around and not smell the nasty smell of the laundry mat. It was a win-win situation.
After making the drive across town, Audrey made it home, noticing how she'd be the only one home, her mother being at work and her little brother being MIA, either at class, at work, or at his dorm. Shrugging, she lugged her laundry in with her, chucking her shoes off in her old room, which was still decorated like she had originally left it when she first went to beauty school, and then returned, and then left again to live in her own decently decorated apartment. Quickly, she began with her laundry, not even bothering to sort it by any color scheme, but stopped when she heard the door open and close.
Listening quietly for a bit, she shrugged when heard no other noise and continued on, then chuckled when she heard a weak 'I'm home.' Shoving detergent in, she started her laundry and popped out to their living room and ruffled her brothers hair, then sat herself on the arm of the couch and said,"Hey there, Jamesy-poo! How was classes?"

Jamesy-poo. There was only one person who still continued to call James Diamond that. Sure the guys still joked about it but they'd eventually drop the subject once he got annoyed with it. Sitting up, James fixed his hair and looked over at his older sister Audrey. "Audrey I'm nineteen years old, nobody calls me that anymore" he said, referring to his 'nick-name'.
When she had asked him about his classes, a groan escaped his mouth and James shrugged his shoulders. "I slept during them" he simply responded to her. Rubbing his eyes and letting out a small yawn, James stood up. He needed something with caffeine in it and fast or else he would pass out very soon. Looking over at Audrey, James sighed. Even though she constantly teased him, he still loved her. "No offense sis, but why are you here? I thought you'd be working all day or be at your place or something like that."
